To commemorate the Phantasy Star series 25th anniversary Sega have decided to go all out with a full blown orchestra concert. This Japan-only exclusive show (conducted by Masamichi Amano, and performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra) will cover the entire spectrum of this series, giving one of gamings most recognisable RPG franchise’s a proper celebration. The concert itself will feature 10 different songs, and if that wasn’t enough reason to go everyone coming will receive exclusive music themed items for hugely popular Phantasy Star Online 2!
Above you can see the trailer for the concert which mainly just shows off the new items available at the concert. The event itself will take place on March 30th in the Hibiya Public Hall, Tokyo, and is sure to be a blast for all involved! Who knows maybe if they like it enough in Japan it’ll make it’s way over to the West… right? Right? Right?!!
I didn’t see this coming at all. This will be sweet! I can’t wait!!
Hope it’s more than a ‘PSO’ symphony! Still, great stuff!
Agreed. I’d love for Phantasy Star 1 to get some recognition.
