According to a G-Mode statement, Takeshi Miyaji has died on July 29 at the age of 45. No details were given by the company he was CEO of.
Most of you will remember him for the Grandia series, but also games like Silpheed for the Mega CD or Gun Griffon on the Saturn can be found in his software portfolio.
May you rest in peace, Takeshi Miyaji!

Terrible news…so young. Might have to pop in Grandia II in his honor tonight.
Holy cow…I hope his family is doing okay. Such a sad loss 🙁
He definitely left his mark on the world, one that will always be remembered. I remember the first time experiencing Silpheed CD, or Grandia on the Saturn; it was moments like those where I suddenly realised that anything was possible in the gaming world. He will be missed
I’ll admit, I never played the Grandia games. One of those things where I say “Oh, I should play this” and keep forgetting. Guess it’s about time to stop procrastinating. I just wish the thing that pushed me forward wasn’t this horrible news…*Sigh*
