Just like the past four Yakuza games, Yakuza 5’s story and theme centers around the act of chicken racing. However, this time when playing as Tatsuo Shinada you’ll be competing in the legendary Cochins Cup Classic with the dream of being a class chicken racer. With the press of a single button you’ll be able to give your chicken that little burst of speed he needs to finish out on top.
In addition to the main story quest involving chicken racing Sega has also announced a bunch of other mini-games and sidequests:
- Kazuma Kiryu will work in a ramen shop cooking orders for customers.
- Haruka will be part of a comedic duo and you have to tell the right response at the right time to make the audience laugh.
- Taiga Saejima will be taking part in first-person snowball fights…. to the death! Well, maybe not to the death. Unless you throw one those snowballs that’s mostly ice and it hits someone right in the head.
