Sega and Gearbox may issue an apology for Aliens: Colonial Marines

ACM

Despite rumours of a huge patch hoping to rectify Aliens: Colonial Marines’ many faults having been shut down, the creators of the Facebook page petitioning for the patch have revealed that they’ve apparently been able to confirm from sources within the two companies that we can expect an apology “this week”. It will cover “what happened to the game between the demo, and its official release” as well as “details on a potential software patch.”

Considering all the controversy surrounding the game and the poor reception from consumers and critics alike, I doubt an apology would make much headway for Aliens fans feeling mistreated, but if it’s accompanied by a patch it’s certainly a step in the right direction. They’ll definitely want to start rebuilding the bridge to the fanbase if news of Creative Assembly’s Alien game still being in production is true.

I personally wouldn’t take this statement as gospel until we get something more official, though.
