Face it. Real men use ninja stars to fight zombies. And now you can too in the recently released iOS/Android game, House of the Dead Overkill: The Lost Reels! You can upgrade your gun to the “Ninja Star upgrade,” in the gun shop, which replaces your revolver on the screen with the classic 16-bit pixelated hands of everyone’s favorite ninja, Joe Musashi. The upgrade resembles the bonus levels of Shinobi where the camera would switch to a firstperson view while throwing ninja stars at enemies. I love when developers throw references like this in games, and it’s so ridiculous that it fits the House of the Dead motif perfectly.
