We thought it was a possibility, and now it looks like there is full intent on bringing Night Trap back to life. The game that hit everything from Sega CD to the 32X, 3DO, Mac/DOS and even Congress may return thanks to fans and the creators if the funds are obtained. The Kickstarter goal is $330,000 and at the time of this writing 382 backers have raised $17,884.
The goal of the project is to release an upgraded HD version of Night Trap to PC, Mac, PS3, and Xbox 360. The tiers include signed copies of the game, the soundtrack, to even an autographed ad incorporating the impressions Congress gave Night Trap back in 1992.
I’m waiting to hear about some clarification on a few things myself before I dive into this Kickstarter. However, if you are wondering how the game will look in HD, hit the jump to see a preview. Stay tuned to this space as more develops.

I hope this gets funded, but this campaign is a total disaster. $10 for a cd single is not a good start. Not to mention the manufacturing and licensing impossibilities that have been mentioned in other articles. I have high hopes, but I doubt this will make it. -AD
Too true, man. That’s why I’m holding off until they get their act together.
Yeah. It shows how dated the team is to think that CD singles are even relevant anymore.
