Saturn cutscenes to remain in Radiant Silvergun re-release

A copy of Radiant Silvergun for the Sega Saturn runs about $160 on Amazon. If you are wanting the Saturn experience without the hefty price tag, you can look no further than XBLA.  The ESRB has announced today that the cutscenes from the Saturn version will be retained in the upcoming XBLA release.  Added to the game will be online play, replay sharing, and modern graphics. A release date has not yet been announced.

I am glad to see that the original cutscenes will be retained, as I never got to experience them on the Saturn. Are you excited for the original animation, or were you hoping for updated CGI cutscenes?

  1. I’m excited for everything being kept intact. I remember Castlevania SotN coming out in the US XBLA without the CG cutscenes, only to have the JPN marketplace release the game in it’s entirety. Also: Full Japanese dialogue.

I wanted to purchase that game, but couldn’t due to MS points issues.
