Miku Flick sequel, Miku Flick/02, to be released in English for iOS

The sequel to Miku Flick, which is itself a spin-off of the Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA series, Miku Flick/02 is ‘Rhythm Action game in iOS’ according to the game’s English Sega website. While gameplay will be the same as its predecessor, Miku Flick/02 sports new songs including new ‘duet songs’, a higher difficultly level, a replay mode and the introduction of DLC in the form of songs and character costumes. Check out the game in action in the video above.

As with Miku Flick, this new game will also be released in English, making the Miku Flick series the only Hatsune Miku games to make it out of Japan. While the game’s website does not offer a specific release date, it does have a selling price of $10.99, American I will assume. What this means for those of us that deal in other currencies is uncertain, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated.

  1. I have been thinking if I should get Miku Flick. Do you think I should pick it up? I’ve have never played a hatsune Miku game before! It’s just the price that puts me off!

    • If you’re asking me then you’re asking the wrong person. I’m still trying to get up to speed on the whole Hatsune Miku craze, although to be perfectly honest I don’t think it’s my thing. If you take away the vocaloid it would seem you are left with nothing more than a simple rhythm game.

  2. Good thing the price is not too hard to swallow.
IIRC, the first game was 14 bucks.

@DR. If you’re going to get a Miku game get one of the Project Diva games – more song selections, gameplay is simple and challengoing, and other nic knacks.
I wouldn’t say Miku Flick is fully realized, or maybe it’s not really made to played on a 3GS :/
