Sega as recently revealed a trailer of what is to be expected in its winter patch for Phantasy Star Online 2. this will be the second large-scale content patch for the title, featuring a whole new “underwater” zone to battle through.
The update will also contain an extended storyline as well as multiple, apparently, massive boss fights. The inclusion of a new camera mode also lets players set a timer, so they can be included in shots of their favourite Phantasy Star moments. Recent updates saw the inclusion of a “super hard mode”, and the addition of playable costumes.
Phantasy Star Online 2 was released in Japan on 4th July 2012 — it has yet to be announced if we are to see a western release.In fact, a release over here seems very unlikely. So am I just rubbing in a cool new expansions to a game you’ll never play? Yes. I guess I am.
